There are no other words I could use for my experience with the Miss BC pageant other than Life Changing.

I first entered the Miss BC pageant in 2011 at the age of 17 with the goal of gaining self-confidence. The workshops the pageant provided me gave me so much more than that. I did not walk away with a title in 2011, but I walked away with the skills I needed to change my life for the better. The pageant helped me find my voice and my passions, making a positive difference in Mental Health, Epilepsy, and Young Woman Leadership. From those skills I started my own non-profit, became an entrepreneur, and began dedicating myself to making the world a better place.

In 2018, I made the decision to go back to the Miss BC pageant. I had found my voice, now I wanted to share it. I never expected that I would walk out with a title, but on the night of July 1, 2018, my life changed forever when I was crowned Miss BC 2018.

Being Miss BC has opened countless doors. In my year as Miss BC I worked with various organizations and as an advocate to help raise millions of dollars for Epilepsy research and treatment and Young Adult Mental Health Programs.

Becoming Miss British Columbia has also provided me opportunities I could never dream of. In March 2019, I had the opportunity to compete in the Miss Canada pageant, of which I walked away as Miss Canada 2019. It has also provided me opportunities to compete internationally at Miss Continents where I walked away as the runner-up out of 47 girls from around the world. I was signed to an international modelling agency and have had the opportunity to speak about my charity work across the globe including meeting with the Canadian Prime Minister. I’ve been nominated for various awards including Ambassador of the year with the International Bureau for Epilepsy.
